The role of the EJN (in criminal matters) is to facilitate judicial cooperation in criminal matters, by providing legal and practical advice and to assist in establishing direct contacts between national competent authorities. The EJN Contact Points are also involved in and promote the organisation of training sessions on judicial cooperation in criminal matters.
The EJN (in criminal matters) website offers e-tools to facilitate cooperation, as well as other practical information, including on cooperation with countries and judicial networks outside the EU.
The EJN (in criminal matters) is administered by a Secretariat, located at Eurojust in The Hague. The current Head of the EJN Secretariat is Mr Ola Löfgren.
