EU law in general

The European Commission and various other organisations develop training material on European Union law as a whole. These materials are designed to help both legal professionals who wish to study independently to expand their knowledge and understanding and trainers of legal professionals who wish to organise training sessions on EU law or aspects thereof. Information about current and future European legislation can be found on the Commission's Link opens in new windowwebsite.

Training curricula in several fields of European law, as recommended by the European Judicial Training Network (EJTN)

The European Judicial Training Network has developed training curricula in different fields of European law: administrative law, criminal law, civil law and legal language, as well as for trainers on the methodology for developing and delivering legal training. The training curricula represent basic reference documents and help govern the design and planning of training activities for EJTN's members. They are not textbooks on the topics covered but are designed to serve as practical and helpful guides which trainers can put to use immediately. The curricula are regularly updated by the EJTN sub-groups, which are each responsible for different areas.

The training curricula are available to all interested trainers and judicial training providers on Link opens in new windowEJTN's website.
