Administrative courts

Four administrative courts were identified in the Republic of Croatia, namely in Zagreb, Split, Rijeka and Osijek which:

  1. decide on actions against individual decisions of public law authorities,
  2. decide on actions against the actions of bodies governed by public law,
  3. decide on actions for failure to take individual decisions or actions by a body governed by public law within the time limit laid down by law,
  4. decide on actions brought against administrative contracts and the execution of administrative contracts,
  5. they shall decide in other law the cases referred to above.

High Misdemeanour Court of the Republic of Croatia

  1. decides on ordinary legal remedies against decisions of the municipal courts in misdemeanour cases and decisions of public law bodies operating at first instance infringement proceedings where this is required by a special law,
  2. to resolve conflicts of jurisdiction between municipal courts in infringement cases,
  3. decides on exceptional legal remedies against final infringement decisions where this is required by a special law,
  4. decide on appeals in cases of international judicial cooperation with EU Member States under jurisdiction,
  5. supervise the orderly conduct of the work of judges working on infringement cases,
  6. perform other tasks specified by law.
