Directive 2019/771 / EU of May 20, 2019, on certain aspects of contracts for the sale of goods, regulates non-conformities in the sale of personal property to consumers, and repeals the old Directive 1999/44 / EC. This work examines its scope, the principle of conformity of the good with the contract, and the criteria established (subjective and objective) to determine whether the good delivered is in conformity, the budgets to demand liability from the seller, the rights attributed to the consumer, as well as commercial guarantees of the good sold and consumer rights in Directive 2019/771 / EU.
