Unfair Contract Terms Directive, Article 1

The article considers application of regulation for unfair contract terms in a contract of residential tenancy, identifying the application scope of this regulation, describing the key issues, and outlining their solutions. The article discusses main issues of regulation for unfair contract terms in a contract of residential tenancy, such as contract terms drafted in advance, their negotiation and the assessment of unfairness of typical contract terms included in the contract for residential tenancy in conjuncture with topical court practice of Latvian courts and the Court of Justice of the European Union.
