    Unfair Commercial Practices Directive, link
  • Headnote
Unfair commercial practices pose a significant threat to the proper business choices of a consumer; therefore they are also regulated at European Union level, specifically by the Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council 2005/29/EC. In the national legal systems of EU Member States, prohibition of such practices is regulated in unfair competition law, specifically in special legislation prohibiting unfair commercial practices and in general codes protecting consumers. The subject of this article is a detailed casuistic description of all conducts identified as unfair business practices in the annex to Directive 2005/29 (the black list).
