This lengthy article on Directive 2005/29 discusses many topics in relation to the Directive and amongst others includes a legal assessment on the legal basis of the UCP Directive and the Directive's level of harmonization, scope and main provisions, the impact of codes of conduct on the assessment of the unfair character of commercial practices, the sanctioning of unfair commercial practices and the impact of the UCP Directive on the food industry and the chemical industry. It is written by several authors partly in French and partly in English. Although it relates partly to the Belgian legal framework, it also considers the more general European law level.
