The article focuses on the protection of consumer with respect to the purchase of travel package in EU law and Slovak law.
This article elaborates on the basic notions and definitions within this sphere. It further ascribes the process of how the travel package contract is concluded and terminated, the obligations of the travel operators, in particular the obligation to provide accurate information to the consumers and the right to compensation for damage caused by the travel operator.
Additionally, the article mentions compensation for loss, insurance liability, obligation to provide information, and limits of liability for damage in the Slovak legislation as well as in the EU legislative framework in connection with the consumer protection while purchasing travel package.
