  • Headnote
This book addresses a number of legal issues that remain in the travel and tourism industry, with its increased focus on distance contracting, even after the enactment of the Consumer Rights Directive of 25 October 2011. The author highlights uncertainties in travel contracts, such as the right of withdrawal and information requirements, and how to navigate through them. The author concludes that the European consumer law acquis is inadequately geared towards the shape of the tourism industry.
