The author discusses the relevant articles of the UCP Directive and concludes that, due to the restricted scope of application, the UCP Directive does not lead to a single European law on unfair commercial practices. Nevertheless, according to the author, the rules laid down in the Directive are an important step on the way to a harmonised law on unfair commercial practices.
