Unfair Contract Terms Directive, link Unfair Contract Terms Directive, Article 5

The article analyzes the principle of transparency prevailing in the European Union law, its purport and import. It also analyzes provisions ofthe Council Directive 93/13 IEEC of 5 April 1993 on UnfairTerms in Consumer Contracts, which implement the transparency principle; the article also discusses legal subsequence applied on the infringement of the requirements of the transparency principle and examines how the aforementioned provisions of the directive are implemented in Lithuania law.
