Consumer Rights Directive, Chapter 1, Article 3, 3., (d)

Even though financial services, and therefore insurance contracts, are excluded from the scope of the Distance and Off-Premises Contracts Act, in the author's opinion, consumers are not free of protection. The possibilities in which a consumer will be protected are highly controversial in Austrian doctrine and therefore the author presents his point of view.
