The article is an overview of the significant developments that have taken place in European civil law and their implementation in the Dutch legal order, in 2014 and 2015. The author observes that the harmonisation of European law does not develop in a consistent manner, due to the variety of the subject matter, with the exception of the ex officio testing of European consumer law.
