The authors explain the scope of application of new Directive 2019/771 on the sale of goods. They point out reasons for new regulation and explain the most important novelties. This paper also examines how this Directive can be transposed in the national legislation bearing in mind that the Directive 1999/44/EC was previously transposed in the Obligations Act.
