    This article analyses the development of EU law in the field of advertising and evaluates whether the implementation of several directives in this field, particularly directive 2006/114/EC, into Danish law has been satisfactory. The author concludes that the Danish authorities, contrary to the wishes of the EU, have failed to apply the rules consistently and to interpret the concepts widely. Further, the author states that the lack of proper definitions in the Danish implementation laws has added to the confusion.
