Unfair Contract Terms Directive, Article 2, (a)

The article analyses the ECJ's decisions on unfair terms in consumer contracts and aims to answer some of the questions raised by these rulings. The author summarizes that the reduction of contractual provisions to their legally permitted core is not only prohibited for consumer class actions but also when individual consumer claims are concerned.
