Currently, Lithuanian legislation does not set special requirements for the labeling of advertising in the social space (Facebook, Instagram). Opinion formers and other business entities have issues related to the labeling of advertising. With this in mind, the State Consumer Rights Protection Service has developed Guidelines for the Labeling of Advertising in the Social Space. The purpose of these guidelines is to provide guidance and draw the attention of opinion formers to the most important aspects of the preparation, publication, and labeling of advertising as well as assist them in the proper implementation of legal requirements.
