Aller Media Oy ("Aller") marketed Seiska magazine to consumers through marketing letters sent by post, including two pre-completed bank transfer forms. On the basis of notifications from consumers, at least some consumers were under the mistaken impression that they had already subscribed to the magazine and that it was an invoice. The Consumer Ombudsman required Aller to draw attention not to include a bank transfer form in its marketing material so that the consumer is under the false impression that he has already ordered the product being marketed. The Consumer Ombudsman also drew Aller's attention to the requirements of self-regulation in the sector.
