Tržni inšpektorat Republike Slovenije

The Market Inspectorate of the Republic of Slovenia (MIRS) monitors compliance with laws and regulations intended to protect consumer rights: Consumer Protection Act, Consumer Protection Against Unfair Commercial Practices Act, Consumer Credit Act, the Out-of-Court Settlement of Consumer Disputes Act. The report provides statistics and analysis of infringements in the field of consumer protection. In particular, it highlights open issues related to concluding distance contracts, out-of-court settlement of consumer disputes, harmonisation of the Consumer Protection Act with European legislation, and unfair business practices.
