The Commission has published its 2016 call for proposals for training national judges in competition law.
Applicants interested in financial support should focus on the following target groups: judges at national Courts dealing with the review of national competition authorities' decisions and all final instance judges dealing with competition law.
The purpose is to co-finance projects aimed at improving the knowledge, application and interpretation of EU competition law and further developing legal linguistic skills. Suggested priority topics include State Aid, the Directive 2014/104 on antitrust damages actions, economic principles of competition law and European competition law at the interface of developments in e-commerce and intellectual property rights. Preference will be given to projects offering training courses with consecutive levels, complementary or innovative compared to existing offers. Special consideration will also be given to projects aimed at judges from several member states, thus encouraging cross-border networking.
The deadline for applications is 31 March 2017.
You can find details on the terms and conditions in the Call for proposals.
