2016 report on European judicial training released

Today, this year´s edition of the report on European judicial training was released and is available in the judicial training section of the European e-Justice Portal.

It contains data on how many judges, prosecutors, lawyers, notaries, court staff and bailiffs participated in 2015 in training on EU law or the law of another Member State, the topic areas, length and size of these training activities and the sources of EU funding that supported every fifth of these legal practitioners. It shows that on average of all legal professions and all member States, the target of the 2011 Communication on European judicial training to train 50% of all legal practitioners between 2011 and 2020 is likely to be reached, but with remaining significant differences between different legal professions and different EU Member States.
