Lawyers play a vital role in the practical implementation of EU law in many legal proceedings, whether national or cross-border, civil, family, administrative or criminal. It is also up to them to raise EU law issues in specific legal situations.

- grounding in the EU legal system and legal culture, helping to build practical understanding of the role of EU law in national legal systems
- the rule of law acquis
- information on their role as European justice practitioners.
