Unfair Contract Terms Directive, Article 1

The article provides an overview of several judgements adopted by the Court of Justice of the European Union in various fields from April 2020 to November 2020. One of the discussed judgements of the Court of Justice of the European Union is adopted in Case C-287/19. By providing an overview of the judgement in this case, the author mentions the conclusion of the court that the rules contained in the Directive 93/13 must be applied in order to review the unfairness of a term relating to the tacit consent of changes to a framework contract such as that at issue in the main proceedings. This Directive sets out the extent to which a clause in a contract concluded between a consumer and a service provider may be considered unfair.
