The article gives a first cursory overview of the new regulations and their impact on existing laws.

In the author's opinion, the new consumer rights are for the benefit of consumers, especially regarding transactions via the internet, the withdrawal rights in doorstep selling and distance trades, as well as protection against ambushes. But the author also thinks that in the beginning certain problems can arise, in particular with regard to the information duties of entrepreneurs. In this case, less regulation on a European level would have been better.
