The article’s principal focus lies in the so-called foreign currency credit disputes, which as the author notes, has dominated Hungarian civil litigation in the 2010s. The author goes over the legal construct behind foreign currency credit contracts, the particularities of exchange-rate risk, and the disclosure/notification of such according to Hungarian legal regimes. The author also includes an overview of the legal consequences of faulty disclosure.
