The author focuses on the so-called blanket contracts involving consumers, with specific focus on the CJEU’s jurisprudence. It reviews questions such as examining the primary object of a contract (with relation to its clarity), the nature and characteristics of unfairness, as well as the obligation to inform the consumer. Furthermore, it devotes an entire chapter of the article to examining the question from  the perspective of Directive 93/13/EEC. It also involves an overview of the formal elements of such contracts.
