  • Περίληψη

This book includes a detailed analysis of the consumer protection law 2251/1994. It contains a specific subchapter on Directive 2011/83 with reference to the Directive’s scope, information requirements that must be provided to the consumer, the right of withdrawal, the effects of the right of withdrawal as well as other consumer’ s rights with regards to off the premises and distance sales contract.

It contains also a chapter regarding the pre-formulated standard contractual clauses for future contracts (General Terms of Transactions). In this chapter a thorough analysis of the criteria and the method used to define the abusiveness of the terms is provided. The analysis results in the legal consequences that arise due the abusive nature of those terms and elaborates on the fact that a contract term will become void and therefore unenforceable.
