The author refers to the reasons that constitute the amendment of Directive 90/314 on package travel necessary. She further makes a detailed reference to the multiple efforts by the E.U. to amend the said directive through a timeline and in particular to the basic requests written in a relevant report, which the European Parliament adopted later. Moreover, the author presents the conclusions reached through the public consultation of the directive and the choices the European Committee has with respect to the amendment in question. In any case, the author highlights the need to amend Directive 90/314, so that it will cover consumers’ present needs.
