Noua reglementare in dreptul contractual al consumului : OUG nr. 34/2014.
The study presents and briefly analyses the provisions of GEO 34/2015, by which the Romanian legislator implemented the European Directive 83/2011 on consumer rights into the Romanian Law. It starts with the scope of application of the text, insisting on the definitions of consumers and professionals and of the contracts that are excluded. It highlights the norms on the professionals’ obligation of information and on the consumers’ withdrawal rights, making a correlation with similar provisions found in other Acts regarding consumers contracts. In addition, the article analyses the changes brought by the Ordinance as regards the moment of conclusion for distance contracts.
