New round of co-funding for judicial training projects by the Justice programme
Information on the 2016 procedure to apply for EU co-funding for training of Justice practitioners on EU law or dealing with radicalised violent extremists under the Justice programme is now available.
There are two topics (previously called "call for applications"):
- The one on training legal practitioners (such as judges, prosecutors, lawyers, notaries, court staff and bailiffs) co-funds cross-border cooperation on training on EU law in the areas civil law, criminal law and areas related to fundamental rights issues. It can co-fund, for example, organising cross-border training activities, developping cross-border training material or joint devices for judicial training institutions with a minimum grant of 50.000 €. The deadline for applications expires on 16 November 2016, 17.00 h.
- The second topic entails training prison and probation staff, prison chaplains/imams/counsellors, judges and prosecutors in the area of the judicial response to radicalisation to violent extremism includes a priority on training, both during trials prosecuting or preventing radicalised violent extremism and during the execution of sentences. Here, also national projects can be funded, the minimum grant is 70.000 €. The application deadline expires on 15 November 2016, 17.00 h.
