For security reasons, as of 9 January 2023, the European e-Justice Portal will require multi-factor authentication (MFA). What does it mean for you?
In practice, as of 9 January 2023, in addition to your password you would also need to use your phone (MFA by SMS), your smartphone (EU Login app, available for Android devices on the 
Google Play and for Apple devices from the Apple App Store), a supported eID, or a security key (Yubikey, Fido2key, U2F, etc.) to log in to the Portal.

Aus Sicherheitsgründen wird das Europäische Justizportal ab dem 9. Januar 2023 eine Multi-Faktor-Authentifizierung (MFA) erfordern. Was bedeutet das für Sie?
